This year was my first year taking part in the Townlands Festival near Macroom and I enjoyed every second of it. I set up my tent on Thursday evening and on Friday we were ready to go. We were in the Village Green Wellness area which was set up beautifully. The Wellness area had many activities including yoga and massage. Aromatherapy and cranial sacral therapy was available in my tent.
My son had attended the festival in the past and it had rained so heavily that he had to come home to dry off every now and again!! So I was ready with my wellies but it turned out to be sunny from start to finish. The atmosphere was great - lots of families and people enjoying the great music and stands offering jewellery, basket making and yoga with talks on various topics which catered for kids of parents alike.
On Saturday night I managed to pop out and see Sister Sledge with my family which was very apt :)

Then on Sunday I also got to enjoy Kila who kept everyone dancing late into the night.
I had lots of lovely people call to me for cranial sacral therapy and among those I also met lots of homebirth babies that I had delivered over the years.
